Our Story
Java Man resides in an original beach house built in 1929. Rick Hankus, local resident and owner of Ocean Diner in Hermosa Beach, wanted a comfortable place where people could hang out, drink flavorful coffee and have a tasty sandwich or a yummy dessert.
In 1992, Java Man opened its doors when even the word “latte” was unfamiliar. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the friendly atmosphere where the staff knows your drink even before you do!
